| We are flying in the Super Stallion. The KLN89B GPS shows a ground speed of 211 kts with no head or tail wind. We are in a hurry and our Continental IO-550-G is turning 2,700 rpm. At 2,400 rpm normal ground speed at 12,500 ft is 193 kts while burning 14 gallons per hour. After climb we have 160 gallons of fuel left in the wings. With this fuel and 20 gallons reserve we travel 2,200 statute miles. You say you can not fly that long! We have relief. | ||||||||||
