Hollmann’s first job was working for Lockheed Missiles and Space Co. in Sunnyvale, CA. There he helped design and make all the drawings for the Interstage and staging connector brackets for the C3 Poseiden. Later he was hired back by Willy Fielder, Chief Scientist, and was put in charge of the launch and recovery and airframe designs for RPVs which are now called “Unmanned Air Vehicles” or UAVs.
